Poll is up

Hey guys, I put up a poll about favorite whiskeys/whiskies. Vote, so I can know what to review next and feel free to explain your vote here in the comments section.

  1. You should break Scotch into single malt and blended. They are very different drinks. I had a couple of bad experiences in college with Johnny Walker and blended whiskey brings me out in a cold sweat to this day but I love peaty Islay malts.

  2. I agree completely with you Sucio, but in the same token I don't think anyone would vote for blended scotch. I also don't think any one would vote for the sour mash bourbons so I decided not to separate those. I'm glad to hear you like the peaty Islay malts because those are exactly the kinds of scotch I like to drink. I will have reviews on ardbeg nam beist, Laphroaig, and Glenlivet. I don't actually remember if Glenlivet is from Islay, but it definitely had a nice peaty taste to it, which in my opinionis what makes scotch whisky so great.

  5. i was inspired by your posts to go out and get this today. Ninety proof, and I got a handle for what a 750 of Jack would cost, and I actually think it tastes better.

  7. @Unablogger. Nice selection, if you are looking to buy another cheap alternative to Jack Daniels that still tastes great I would recommend Fighting Cock. It's 103 proof and about $18 for a bottle. It's actually more of an alternative to Wild Turkey because of the high proof and spicy taste, but still a fantastic buy for the price. I usually find it on the bottom shelf, but that is probably to keep it from flying off the shelf. The only reason I don't buy it much is because Old Grand-Dad 114 is worth the extra $7

  8. I'm a huge Jack Daniel and Scotch fan! I've heard a lot of good about Bourbon and never even tried it! Might go get a bottle this week, any suggestion of midpriced good tasting bottle?
